Hello from the sky again! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR! I am currently writing this a few days prior to the new year, on a flight to Nosara. We just finished a week with our families in Aspen, and now Clay and I are headed to the beach for a few days to finish off 2025. We had such a nice time in Aspen this year combining our families for our first Christmas together. It was a really special moment in time to have both Clayton’s and my family in one place. The literal only downside was that Aspen had essentially no snow, so skiing was a bit of a struggle. But as a beginner (this was my third time ever on skis), it wasn’t so bad for me. I stuck mostly to the bunny hills and took a couple of lessons, which were great. Learning to ski in your 30’s is really a humbling experience — and staying present with a physical activity (that you’re not good at) from 9–3 every day was both a challenging and great feeling. The last time I was briefly on skis was about two years ago, and I will just say — so much has changed since then — but what stood out to me most was how much less fearful and jumpy I was. I truly think this is because of all the nervous system work I’ve done. I will die on the hill (pun intended) that it transforms every area of your life, and how you show up for everything from learning to ski to waiting in line at the airport. I feel like my patience, presence, and positivity (not the toxic kind — the genuine glass-half-full kind) have truly skyrocketed.

And, in honor of the new year, and this week’s podcast episode (2025 As The Year I Got My Spark Back), I wanted to put together the biggest lessons I learned over the last 365 days. When I say that 2025 was the year I got my spark back — I truly mean in all areas. But I want to be clear that it took me about two years of work to get to this place. This was not an overnight change, but it is, 100%, the kind that’s available to literally everyone. At the beginning of 2024, I was single, heartbroken, riddled with chronic pain and symptoms, and unsure about where my career was going. Fast forward to 2025, and I am married to the love of my life, completely free of chronic pain, and have built a new brand and podcast that has quickly become my full-time job (and, most importantly, my purpose). I truly feel like my life has done a 180, and I’ve gained so many insights along the way that I’m excited to share — no matter where you are on your journey!

My theory: if you have no idea what you’re doing on the slopes, at least look the part for a little boost of 33-year-old-beginner confidence. Ski suit, fanny pack & goggles linked.
